We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Plant Health Care Specialists who share our commitment to excellence in tree and shrub care. This role focuses on monitoring, assessing, and addressing the plant health needs of trees and shrubs on residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities:
To ensure your success, we provide hands-on training delivered by Dream Greener’s dedicated team of arborists and lawn care specialists. As a Plant Health Care Specialist, you will play a key role in:
– Performing tree and shrub care treatments using tools such as spray, tree injection, and soil injection, as prescribed by the Arborist.
– Communicating with clients about work completed during site visits to provide updates and foster clarity.
– Mixing and applying pesticides and fertilizers to trees and shrubs based on diagnosis, adhering to safety procedures, label instructions, and state regulations.
– Properly maintaining and operating tools, equipment, and vehicles, including hand tools, spray agitators, portable spray equipment, and other machinery.
– Completing daily record-keeping and reporting accurately.
– Safely driving a company vehicle to multiple residential or commercial properties throughout the day.
This role is vital to maintaining the health and vitality of trees and shrubs and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Qualifications:
– A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors.
– Ability to pass a criminal background check.
– Willingness to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
– Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (we cover the exam cost and provide preparation support!).
– Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
– Interest in learning to identify trees and shrubs common to the region.
– A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field is “preferred” but not required.
– Prior experience in landscaping or horticulture is “preferred” but not required.
– Strong teamwork ethic and dedication to safety.
