Hiring (Recruitment)

  • Responsible for hires related to maintenance and construction including field level managers.

Training, and SOP Development

  • Plan and implement training programs.
  • Develop safety plans, establish, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure team compliance with the company’s standards and practices.

Daily Operations and Staffing

  • Set production goals based on budget and oversee daily operations (e.g., 15-minute morning dispatch, end-of-day loading, GPS monitoring).
  • Manage staffing schedules and time-off requests to ensure smooth workflows.

Safety Oversight

  • Manage safety sign-off sheets and verify field crew participation.
  • Maintain safety records to ensure full compliance across the team.

Problem Resolution (Customer-Related)

  • Troubleshoot any landscape, hardscape, planting, lawn installation, or damage caused during work and ensure resolution.

Performance Monitoring and Goal Setting

  • Establish and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity rates, job costs, labor efficiency, and revenue per crew.
  • Monitor performance to ensure adherence to sales, maintenance, and production goals.

Project Oversight

  • Oversee the execution and profitability of construction and maintenance projects.

Fleet, Equipment, Parts Management

  • Supervise mechanic activities related to the maintenance and care of trucks, trailers, and equipment, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Oversee an organized system for checking, tracking, and returning tools to minimize waste or loss.
  • Evaluate and make decisions on quotes and purchase orders to ensure alignment with the annual budget, prioritizing cost-efficiency and resource allocation.

Shop, Grounds, and Fleet Cleanliness Oversight

  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the shop, surrounding grounds, and fleet to meet safety, efficiency, and presentation standards.

Staff Problem Resolution

  • Manage and oversee conflict resolution among team members.
