Job Summary
As a Maintenance Crew Member, you will assist in completing various landscaping and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Shovel edging, weeding, raking, trimming, removals.
- Sod cutting, soil grading, seeding, sodding, composting, planting and boulder installation.
- Snow removal and supporting other seasonal maintenance.
This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Collaborate with crew leader to coordinate workflow and achieve efficient project completion.
- Use and maintain tools/equipment properly.
- Contribute to high landscape maintenance standards that match project design specifications.
- Participate in training to grow skills and support overall team development.
- Ensure 100% availability for work hours and potential workloads up to 65 hours per week, as needed.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to handle physical labor effectively.
- Communicate with Sales and Field Production Supervisors regarding job/site needs and quality expectations.
- Cooperate with truck and shop mechanics to maintain equipment readiness.
- Follow and uphold all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for your position.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, dig, and consistently lift 50+ pounds as needed.
- Capacity to endure long outdoor shifts in varied weather and environmental conditions.
Required Education & Licenses
- Valid driver’s license with insurability on the company insurance policy.
- Ability to safely drive trucks and trailers.
Required Work Experience & Skills
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in the landscaping industry.
- Familiarity with landscaping tools, equipment, and heavy machinery.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision when required.
- Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to exceptional service.
- Comfort using hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and other materials as needed.
- Organized, motivated, and professional demeanor.
