Annual Mowing Service Benefits: #
Every year that we provide services to you, we’re making or renewing a commitment to you — to help you
establish, enhance, and maintain the health and appearance of your grounds, reliably and responsibly.
Because of that responsibility, we began providing our mowing services on an annual fee basis in 2016. This
enables us to provide you with the highest level of attention, to monitor and analyze your ground conditions in
greater detail, to find and focus on problem areas, and to continuously help maintain your turf, week after week,
month after month, throughout the year.
While the standard lawn mowing service provides 32-35 visits annually, to further fulfill this commitment to you,
we will make at least forty (40) visits to your property over the course of a year, over the 365 days from
the day your service begins— with no additional charge!!
To make your budgeting easier, more convenient, and more consistent, you can make twelve (12) equal
monthly payments of your annual mowing fee!
To be clear, your annual mowing fee has not and will not increase because of the additional visits — your
property will simply be receiving even greater attention! Our aim is to continuously help you maintain your turf
throughout the year, all year long!
Changes in the rate of growth may require us to adjust our mowing frequency. During faster growth we will mow
weekly or more frequently, if conditions require, and less frequently during periods of slower growth, to prevent
scalping or shocking your lawn and/or to encourage deep root growth.
Over the course of the year, best practices dictate that we mow as and when needed (e.g., a lawn with a week
of very heavy growth would be mowed twice, a lawn with a week of no grass growth would not be mowed — the
aim is to maintain the grass height appropriate for the good health and appearance of the turf) without fee
reduction and without additional fees for the annual service. Please don’t mistake any periodic reduction in
mowing frequency for less service or less attention to detail as we are still visiting your property and monitoring
its conditions and needs.
In fact, in 2016, by way of example, we experienced an unseasonably mild winter and warmer March
temperatures, in the high 60s and low 70s, that produced early turf growth, so we began our 2016 mowing
service in March, well before we have traditionally begun service—again, to be clear, at no additional charge!
Looking at it another way, it’s like our annual seasonal fee Snow and Ice Management program: you pay an
annual fee for mowing (like the overall seasonal fee for snow) — no matter how many visits are required to
maintain grass at its optimal height, no matter how long it takes our crew, no matter how high the grass has
grown, no matter how early or how late in the year the grass grows and there are no bills for fuel or travel, no
hidden fees, no surcharges, no surprises.
Plus: You can make twelve (12) equal monthly payments! -or- Receive a significant fee reduction when
you pre-pay the full annual fee! This helps you and us to budget more efficiently.
