  • Assigned pruning crew members must have Felco hand pruners and a holster.
  • Conduct a thorough inspection of all equipment before starting work to ensure proper functioning.
  • Inspect all vehicles for any signs of damage or maintenance issues and report them immediately.
  • Check all vehicles for proper lighting functionality and reflectors to comply with road safety regulations.
  • Avoid keeping excess water bottles in the trailers; only store what’s needed for the day.

Afternoon Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness Checks #

  • Clean out all garbage from trailers and the interior of trucks; keep a garbage bag in trailers.
  • Keep the laydown material area free of debris by blowing off excess into designated bins.
  • Ensure that dumpster doors are closed to prevent animals from entering.
  • Keep the property free of garbage by regularly disposing of waste.
  • Check fuel levels in vehicles, mower cans, and mulch blowers, refilling as necessary to avoid disruptions.

Weekly Organizational and Maintenance Checks #

  • Schedule a weekly meeting with crew leaders at 6:30 am sharp while drivers complete truck/trailer checks.
  • Verify that all trailers have a complete first aid kit and fire extinguisher, with crew lead training required.
  • Wash trucks and trailers.
  • Clean wheels and apply shine.
  • Broom sweep and wipe down the interior of the truck.
  • Clean windows using glass shine. Do not use tire shine on glass.
