Objective #

It’s the middle of summer and lawns may be showing signs of heat and drought stress. Turf growth has slowed and diseases and other damage will not be corrected quickly. Summer annual weeds are growing strong and it is our job to control them now with our TruDetail program. Utilizing your weed wand you should walk the entire property treating all of the weeds. If nutsedge control is not in your spray mix you will need to treat nutsedge with a backpack or handcan application. Allowing crabgrass to take over will result in unsightly bare areas in the fall. If a lawn is being watered and actively growing you should apply fertilizer to help maintain color. Inspect the lawn for chinch bug activity and apply 0-0-7 Talstar as needed. Customers may want to cancel because their lawn is brown due to heat or drought stress. Assure them that this is a natural defense in order to survive the harsh conditions of summer and the lawn will green back up with normal rain and cooler temperatures. Customers will get their next application in late August or September.
